The Museum of Appalachia

This was a wonderful trip back in time...thank you Mrs. Frodge for the suggestion to visit here! The collection of buildings and artifacts were amazing...and we were even treated to some bluegrass "pickers" playing on the front porch!

Who is this hillbilly?

The Peacocks ran around everywhere.

If you look closely you can see a peahen on her nest.

Checking out the survey equipment.

We loved going here when we lived in Tennessee! I think it's one of the most interesting museums I've ever been to.

Glad you got to enjoy it!

So glad you enjoyed it! I think we can learn so much from those hearty and hardy pioneers. I am always impressed by their creative ability to make do with what they had before them. What a great heritage we have!
