The First Day of Fall!

This is my absolute favorite time of year! I love the pumpkins, scarecrows, sweaters, bon fires and cooler weather. (Of course, living in Florida, the cooler weather hasn't quite arrived yet!) The boys indulged me yesterday by helping me get out my "fall stuff". So now that the Fall Wreath is on the front door and the scarecrow is in his place in the garden, I am officially ready. Now I must patiently wait until the fall weather arrives in the south and hope that a hurricane doesn't come first and blow my scarecrow away!

Kelly, that is funny! I hope your scarecrow doesn't blow away, too! I love fall -- even in un-fallish Florida!

We are leaving tomorrow for a couple days in North Carolina with my mother and the Dischers. Mother says fall has come to NC and we need to take our jackets! MMMMM!!

Happy fall! How sweet of your boys to indulge their monther. They are good boys. I LOVED Matthew's 4-H campaign poster. Tell him he should put it on his blog. It was so funny!

I love fall too. Today it actually feels like fall - if you don't count the humidity! The breeze is blowing, the windows are open, the little girls are in their tent "camping", the smell of banana bread is in the air, and Pete's playing the banjo. Could I ask for more?

Yes - It definitely "feels" like Fall in the air. I can't say it is my favorite time of year (we all know which is!) but it is surely a cozy time I look forward to! Hot tea in the morning and some warm muffins or coffee cake, Mmmm! Also, a wonderful time to work in the Fall garden.

I love fall, too! It's pretty close to my favorite season, and we're experiencing it to the fullest here in AR. We just finished canning apple sauce and making apple cider, it was hard work but so very rewarding! Hopefully, y'all have gotten enough hurricanes this year and your scaresrow won't have to worry about blowing away!

Hey Kelly girl, I love your blog, yep I totally agree with you. I love fall too. When the Lord "paints" the trees and sends a refreshing coolness. Although our 2 day fall season in Florida is short, and we have to decorate inside and pretend or head North...we are still thankful. Love yall, The Stokesies

Well, this doesn't have anything to do with fall, but "Return to Pooh Corner" is one of my all-time favorite songs! The only problem with it is that it makes me cry :-/
